Headaches and Migraines

 

General Headaches or Migraine

 

Massage around the temples and at the base of the skull along the hairline with the following essential oil blend:

3 drops of Lavender 

1 drop of Peppermint 

1 tablespoon of olive or coconut oil  (optional)

Gastric Headache

 

A gastric headache may result from eating the wrong foods.  Mix 1 drop of Peppermint essential oil with a teaspoon of honey and dissolve in a glass of warm water.  Sip.

For Massage

 

Combine 1 drop of Rosemary, 2 drops of Peppermint, and 1 drop of Lavender essential oils in a dark glass bottle.  Use 3 or 4 drops of essential oil blend with 1 tablespoon of carrier (coconut, olive, jojoba or sweet almond) oil and massage on the back of the neck, chest and shoulders.

Inhalation

 

By placing 2 drops of the above combined oils on a cotton ball or 3 drops in an Ultrasonic Diffuser.

Stress Headache or Migraine

 

Use the same method as for General Headaches but substitute with these essential oils:

3 drops of Lavender 

1 drop of Chamomile
