Sugar and spice, and everything nice, that’s what your body feels like after it’s been treated to the luxury of a sugar scrub. Sugar scrubs can be used on your face, feet or entire body.

You can find sugar scrubs in spas, department stores, and specialty stores… they’re expensive!  But guess what?  You can easily make your own sugar scrubs at home and get exactly what you want for a fraction of the price!  You can create an energizing Lemon Sugar Scrub, a calming and soothing Lavender Sugar Scrub, or maybe a perk-me-up Peppermint Sugar Scrub.  You can see where I’m going with this, right?

Basic Lavender Sugar Scrub Recipe

1 cup of white or brown sugar, based on your preference.

1/2 cup of oil, such as Jojoba, Almond, Olive,
Coconut or any carrier oil of your choice.

5 to 8 drops of Lavender essential oil (or any other essential oil)

Mix ingredients thoroughly and store in an airtight jar.

Use a tablespoon or more of Sugar Scrub while in the shower, simply scrub your skin with the mixture and rinse thoroughly.  Your Sugar Scrub will leave your skin feeling soft and silky.

Tip: Keep some Sugar Scrub near the kitchen sink to use on your hands after peeling stinky onions or garlic.
