Spring is peeking from just around the corner. Are you ready for it? After having the house shut tight throughout the chilly winter months, diffusing essential oils can help rid your home of lingering musty and/or stale odors as well as purify it.
Citrus essential oils are known to be especially helpful in clearing out old odors. The bright aroma of Lemon and Orange are special favorites, and, are particularly good for freshening the home, uplifting the body, mind, and purifying the air and surfaces of lingering bacteria.
There is nothing like the aroma of essential oils to make our surroundings feel fresh and springy!
Below is a recipe that I have formulated which is uplifting and makes for a wonderful disinfectant spray! Enjoy!!
Spring Forward Freshener & Anti-Bacterial Spray
In a mister bottle add the following:
- 1 cup of distilled or filtered water
- 6 drops of Orange essential oil
- 4 drops of Lemon essential oil
- 2 drops of Eucalyptus essential oil
- 3 drops of Lavender essential oil
Shake well before use. Spray on counter tops, use in the bathroom and on other hard surfaces.
